Bury Me Beneath the Willowby Steve SmithDownload this Article.
The traditional tune Bury Me Beneath the Willow makes and excellent choice to practice positional playing on the mandolin. Positional playing also allows for easy transposition to other keys simply by using the shapes of the established positions and moving them across the strings or by moving them up the neck. This arrangement is based largely from a "C" chord position and lays easily on the mandolin or mandola and is a good workout for double and even triple stops. ALSO, the use of the pinky is required in measures 2,4,10,12. Enjoy, Steve
