The Start of the Day is a fun tune I came up while waiting on my morning java. The music should be played at an airy 100-108 beats per min. with all eight notes played with a down stroke and the triplet figures with a down-up-down pattern (all down on the triplets is fine too!). All dotted quarters and dotted half notes may be played with a tremolo for nice effect. Remember, keep plenty of air in your playing of this one And if you have a guitarist backing you up try using a light touch with plenty of sustain.

Arpeggio patterns appear throughout the tune in root position and in inversion and make nice practice patterns for improvisation in other tunes and styles and can be found over Cmaj.7, Amin, Emin, and Bmin chords.

Have fun,
Steve
